Many Chabad Shluchim live in communities with no Jewish infrastructure, and while the lack of Kosher supplies is often difficult and the closest peer may be miles away, these challenges are incomparable next to the absence of formal Jewish education. For many years, Shluchim had to make do with makeshift arrangements – homeschooling, hiring post-seminary girls as tutors, and other less palatable solutions – until the formation of the Shluchim Online School in 2006.
Using the technology of the Internet, we deliver a real-world, live Jewish education directly to the children of Shluchim as they sit at their home computers. Regardless of where they are in the world, we can now provide them with the education they deserve.
Now known as the Nigri International Shluchim Online School in tribute to one of our major supporters, the school is a project of Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim, a division of The Shluchim Office located in Brooklyn, NY.
